MaxiTRANS has announced the appointment of Andrew McKenzie to the newly created position of Group General Manager – Sales and Distribution, effective immediately. This role will hold national responsibility for sales, distribution and marketing for each of MaxiTRANS’ trailer and rigid truck body brands. Mr McKenzie previously held a variety of senior sales, manufacturing and engineering roles at PACCAR Australia, most recently as General Manager of Kenworth and DAF of Melbourne.
MaxiTRANS Managing Director, Michael Brockhoff, said that Mr McKenzie brings with him his extensive transport industry contacts and a great deal of experience in the sales and distribution of transport equipment products. “Andrew has been extremely successful in his 10-year career with PACCAR and we look forward to him applying his experience with one of the country’s leading truck manufacturers to the MaxiTRANS trailer business.”
Mr McKenzie said he will concentrate on building on MaxiTRANS’ extensive distribution network to ensure the Company continues to enhance its customer experience. “MaxiTRANS offers industry leading products through its Freighter, Maxi-CUBE, Hamelex White, Lusty EMS, AZMEB and Peki brands, coupled with a broad network of sales, service and parts locations. Those were major factors as to why I was excited to come on-board with Michael and the team,” he stated.
“My first action will be to get out on the road with our sales team to speak first hand with as many MaxiTRANS customers as possible,” Mr McKenzie continued. “I want to gain a firsthand understanding of what makes this company great and more importantly, what we can do to make it world class.”
Mr McKenzie suggested that some of those improvements would come via a new Company-owned NSW Dealership which is currently being put in place. “MaxiTRANS NSW, through its two locations in Ingleburn and Warnervale, has already been a great success,” he claimed. “Not prepared to rest on our laurels, we are already looking to further enhance our customer experience and capabilities in NSW via a number of exciting announcements over the coming months.”
